I would like an "airman watch" style watch ,very iconic, but would prefer the "double twelve", I like 12 hour readout: also cannot see the value being beyond $300 usd. "just saying". I M O. This is a volume watch; stop ripping us off!!!!!!

I see you are a Glycine fan, my favourite evryday "tool" style watch. I currently have three combat subs myself, the most expensive the bronze at $420 usd. and the cheapest the Drop/Glycine Soda at $275 usd. I believe they generally run Sellita SW200 movements. Some run ETA2824 but really the difference is so minimal either is good, although I now for sure one of my watches runs the ETA option and keeps time a lot better than trhe Sellita movements which both run fast(but within published fugures), I believe the Airman runs the same movements.
I am not saying $400 usd. is an outrageous price, I just believe Drop could do better! Drop ,whilst some don't agree has come up with some amazing prices for some models in the past,but you have to wait patiently for them. The dual time arrangement doesn't even need the ETA2893-2( I am not sure if the Double Twelve even has this movement,or just the 28241 need ti investigate, in which case it really doesn't justify much extra cost than a combat sub!) because you can manually move the bezel and secure it with the "Yema" style mechanism crown.
But with the 2893 movement it does indeed give you a third option time zone,with it's own movement operated hand ,which is where the extra cost comes in for the movement. But the cost difference notwithstanding the minimal extra labour, is tens of dollars not hundreds; which is when I see Airman models asking considerably more than combat subs. Personally I too would pay $400 usd. if it came at that price, but I rarely see them at anything under $600 usd.!! And I don't like the "Purist" 24hr readout, I prefer the old fashioned 12 hours; this coming from a guy who spent 15 years working life recording all time and communication using 24 hr and phonetic alphabet reference daily - go figure!!
But because most of my watches are 12hr, I really don't want to have to stop and think to convert; I am too lazy for that!!! I really would love a Double Twelve but with the 42 mm diameter dial ,(as i don't have Hellboy arms anymore!!) with the 2893-2 movement on blue or grey dial at $400 usd...... should stop dreaming now!! At least this Glycine range has good quality leather straps. Unlike most I cannot compare the quality with pre-Invicta models, but it seems more than good to me, I cannot fault any of my Combat Subs, even the much scorned Drop colab!!
I see you have a combat chronograph!! Great model, it is a model still on my bucket list: Although have scratched the itch to have an ETA7750 valjoux movement in my collection:, currently with 3, Raymond Weil, Mido, and the fully Swiss made and dispatched Panzera Breuer 43; I still would like the Glycine model you have. Have you had any issues with it??
Again they seem to be holding up a good price! But as a cheapskate watch collector I really don't want to spend more than $600 usd.......I may be waiting a while for one to come for sale from a trusted supplier. Hopefully Drop runs them again. I have had generally very good service from Drop, and recently bought a couple of watched from JS, who now seem to have dropped their extra tax charges etc. to Australia, which often added hundreds to what appeared to be a good price. Unlike the E.U. and some U.S. states and Canada we don't pay GST taxes on watch imports. I even confirmed this with the Steinhart guys who also have watches on my bucket list; but it is going to be hard to buy from them as a sale price without discount goes against my buying ethics!! albeit they drop tax off, which is considerable on some models; it will be hard going. Their new Nav 42 chrono pilot is an option to the Glycine Combat Chrono you have ; I guess when the time comes I will just buy the cheapest as both look good.
