does anyone have any insight if the Glycine quality issues are limited to Massdrop watches or if the quality of Glycine just has deteriorated? I really have been looking into a Glycine but have zero appetite to deal with warranty issues that have been described here. Would it be less of an issue if the watch is purchased from another vendor or can one expect similar issue. Any information would be great.

inconspicuousThey all appear to be from the same distributor, so it's not just Massdrop.
Either way, I bought one of these elsewhere and had problems with the hour hand AND date change. The "international" warranty wasn't recognised by my local distributor so it had to be sent back to the US for replacement (my local repairer somehow failed to fix it, but I'm not convinced they even opened it.) This was a major PITA and took months, but at least I wasn't out of pocket in the end. The replacement has been fine and within spec (but only just) and I enjoy it, however if I'd known what it was about to put me through I probably wouldn't have bothered.
Compared to the Base 22 it clearly has had some "value engineering" performed. I don't think the watch is worth much more than these discounted prices (however, that's how I feel about the whole Swiss watch industry in general.)
Edit: Some edits for clarity

inconspicuousI bought an airman 42 GMT and it had been prefect. No issue at all so far.

inconspicuousI had a pre invicta glycine airman 22 and hands were off. They did repair for free under warranty. Not sure if that would apply to watches sold on MD. It appears the alignment issue is endemic to glycine. QC is leaky.
