This device uses a capacitor instead of a battery. It serves the same function as a battery but is less prone to wear and will last longer.

Actually the T3 has the capacitor, the T1 has a Li-Po battery. The thing will record detected motion for days on a single charge. Motion detection being, somebody or something moved in front of the camera.
