I bought a pair of these a few years back and let me tell you - while these may do the trick, they make you look like a douche lord. Don't bother wearing these at your office job. Wear them in the comfort of your own sad dark and damp basement. If you already have glasses, you can actually get a film from your optometrist for your lenses which will serve a similar function that these do.

DaedalJSHell yeah man, there's a ton of hot chicks in my office - I wear my Gunnars at home but I wouldn't be caught dead wearing them at work. Thats why my normal glasses have a treatment for computer screens on them - so I don't have to have cheap frames (because the Gunnar frames feel cheap, they just do) and I wont look like Bono when I'm wearing them.

M_at_oI don't know the exact name, it's a layer or filter or something on my lenses - it makes them slightly purplish in direct light. I think it's a zeiss product. I'm sure your local eye wear place could tell you more. It's for folks who use computers for an extended period of time, blocks out something like glare. It doesn't seem as hardcore as the Gunners but then again - No Bono effect.
