EagleRockI agree. I just don't understand these high price tags on Quartz watches. The movement that this is "based" on is $16...

chadddcOriginal design from a brand respected for its quality selling a watch with about the same margin as other microbrands using automatic movements is not really what I would call "high price tags". Sure, you can get cheaper catalogue pieces from brands who are just out to make money, but where's the fun in that?
