Quick update for the group. The vendor's shipment is still on track to arrive with them before the end of this month. They haven't passed along an ETA quite yet as container shipments can have fluid arrival dates due to a number of factors.
They will be expediting the inbound bulk order to us and our warehouse team has been looped in and will be sure to get these packed and shipped out as soon the bulk order arrives.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 3/31 or sooner if something comes up.

HassanSWhat is the penalty for missing the deadline?

tastycatI don't think there in a penalty, they are offering refunds for those that don't want to wait any longer.

SmashingTacosThat's horribly bad business practice then. If they don't punish vendors who miss deadlines, then what's the point of even having deadlines? The estimated shipping date for this drop was 2.5 weeks ago; if a vendor took >2.5 weeks longer than projected to deliver goods to my business they would be replaced.
It's not about the wait. Massdrop is a wait-based website. I understand that. The issue is that something was promised and then not delivered upon. I don't want a refund, I want this product to be shipped on time, as promised.
I also understand that this delay isn't exactly Massdrop's fault, but I am holding them accountable because I believe it is their ineffectual policies in dealing with their vendors that allows these situations to keep happening. I didn't blame Massdrop the second or third time it happened, but around the fourth 'unforeseen delay' I started to realize that there must be something about how Massdrop operates and communicates that causes these issues.
