a minor point, but the listed MSRP of $495 includes VAT; it should be $409 for US customers

BradSThis is true, and something we discussed a lot. The flip side is that US customers would also have to pay shipping and taxes, neither of which are the case here. For that reason it's hard to list an MSRP that makes sense for everyone, so we just used the official one. Either way though, there's significant cost savings.
