I'm not sure analogy means what you think it means... It was a legitimate question, if you are going to say something has a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (which is what MSRP stands for, stay with me now), but the MANUFACTURER does not have a SUGGESTED RETAIL PRICE, because they (the MANUFACTURER) do not sell the product in question, then where is this price derived from? Saying something is 25% off the MSRP when the MSRP is non-existant is pointless. Might as well say something has an MSRP of $1 million USD, then $225 seems actually reasonable.
GIJasonI didn't even reply to that comment, I replied to your "I should sell $20 bills for $49.99, because it's the same thing!" comment... see how you compared your idea of a drop being the same thing as this drop? There's your analogy.. stay with me now.
