so... this wont work in the dark?
dvprkThe dial doesn't have any lume paint, which gives them a cleaner look. Many dress watches are like this.
Yes, in complete darkness you will not be able to read the time, but I don't know about you, the only time I'm in such a dark environment is when I'm going to bed. Worst case, you could always use your phone.
KentWangI would likely have gotten this if only it had lumed hands. Please consider that...
FearlessleaderHow often do you really use lume? The only time I've noticed the need for it was when I was hiking at night, so once every year. We've purposefully omitted lume for a more minimal look.
KentWangI use lume in a darkened place several times a week. My Junghans Max Bill, the original Bauhaus design, has lume on the hands and if done correctly doesn't affect the minimal look at so and enhances the functionality dramatically. I do hope you'll give it another think. The Panzera Breuer Arctic, for example, has lume and remains very minimalist.
KentWangOh, my apologies I forgot to add: this is your design and all choices are up to you. Period. I was just trying, poorly, to say that I don't think using "Bauhaus" as a reason flies. Just say that's the way that you want it. No need to try to justify it. I was merely hoping that you'd consider lume so that I could get something like my 34mm Max Bill in a larger size (i.e. with lume) from you. Your designs are very nice indeed!
FearlessleaderNo sweat. I always appreciate feedback.
I just think no lume is more minimal. Max Bill has the Junghans logo, "Made in Germany", and very tasteful lume. I just think it would be even more minimal to remove all of those.
