"The mechanic catches on the back of a pocket and easily deploys the blade." What exactly does this mean?

KarnatI'm a bit confused too. I guess it means it can easilty be stashed away in or on your pants and ready to deploy as soon as possible, and easily. That is, if they're trying to tell you to murder somebody.

ZedzerThe Wave Shape feature is the hook on the top of the blade. It's positioned so that if the knife is clipped to the side of your pocket, when you pull it out, the hook catches on the edge of your pocket and pulls the blade open. It makes it so that you don't need to fumble around looking for thumb studs or a flipper to open it.

KarnatIt means that when the knife is in your pocket (closed and tip up), then knife can be opened while extracting it from the pocket, by catching the hook, situated on top of the knife (the wave, or the Mechanic I assume it's called), on the corner of your pocket. The wave literally opens the blade during extraction.
