Is the expansion user-selectable? Can I switch between "regular" and "wide" or is it just going to come with a wider post? I'm not sure if I need the extra width, but I'd like to have the option if I can switch.

AldreneanIt comes with a minimum width of 2keys wide on each end. If you purchases the expansion kit it acts as a spacer which then allows you to increase the number of keys you are able to for between the outside plates. I have two of these already from here and they are awesome!

AldreneanI am pretty sure, we will get both, because wide is an option of stock product for more effective use.
