Quick update for the group. These were delivered late Thursday afternoon and our warehouse team will be getting these ready for individual shipment today. We will update the group as soon as 100% of the group's orders have shipped out from us.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 3/16 or sooner if something comes up.

HassanS@HassanS,
Thanks for the timely update.
I have a few silly questions. If a package is "ready for individual shipment" before the end of the day, does it actually get shipped out that day? Do people come into the warehouse (in Jersey) on Saturday to ship out orders previously prepared? Or should we expect the first shipment to go out after the last shipment has been prepared?
In other words, if the items were received yesterday, will the shipments prepared today be (literally) handed off to USPS today, tomorrow or Monday? By "literally handed off", I mean literally handed off. Not, "shipping info has been received" or "item is read for pickup from origination site."
As usual, I my question is entirely sincere and no opinion about what should be done is intended. I'm just really curious. I live close enough to the East Coast that if the item was packed up this morning and picked up by USPS this afternoon I could see it in my mailbox by tomorrow. Otherwise, I'll expect it by Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
Cheers.

GonzoTGreatWe meet again @GonzoTGreat,
To answer a couple of your questions.
If a package is "ready for individual shipment" before the end of the day, does it actually get shipped out that day?
This is a bit of a complex question, but to distill it down it really depends on when the team has a chance to count all the inbound units (inventory) and send them to packing. The units that are packed before the last UPS/USPS/DHL/etc pick-up will go out that same day and the rest will show order processed or some variation of that on the tracking page.
Do people come into the warehouse (in Jersey) on Saturday to ship out orders previously prepared?
Saturday is more of a preparation/staging day. This changes during the holidays.
I think that covers the key points!
Really appreciate your contribution to the community @GonzoTGreat!

HassanS@HassanS ,
Thanks for the quick response and clear explanation. Yes, you did cover the key points. From the info. you provided, I can guestimate when I should be expecting the package. At least as far as I've noticed, your updates have improved tremendously in the past few months: well before the "last minute" on the day you say you will post and, where appropriate, much more specific to the item being discussed.
As I have mentioned in other posts, my issues (with you and every business I patronize) are "truth in advertising" and transparency. Your role appears to be more oriented toward the latter and you have been very receptive and responsive to *constructive* criticism and honest questions.
It's important for customers/potential customers to have accurate expectations about Massdrop. It's also important for Massdrop to communicate effectively with their base. You seem to be doing just that.
Thanks also for your comment about my contributions. It's always nice to be appreciated. :-)
I try to post when I can offer something relevant to the community discussion, ask a question others may have, call out Massdrop on a glaring error or offer a suggestion to Massdrop that seems appropriate.
Cheers.
Edited for typos, grammar and clarity.

HassanSReceived mine yesterday (sorry, no picture this time). It was well packaged and delivery was only about a week off which is not unreasonable, at all. I didn't need or expect to receive the pen immediately after purchase, anyway. The best part was that I got a nice, new Lamy Vista and converter for a great price.
Everything went as expected and the slight delay was quickly and clearly addressed by @HassanS/Massdrop. I'm not shy at pointing out when Massdrop has "dropped the ball." But I'm happier to highlight when things go as expected (or pretty darn close to it). Recently, I've noticed a significant improvement in responsiveness from Massdrop to members/participant questions and concerns (in the writing community, at least).
This drop was a successful experience for me. I hope it was for others, as well. Although my pen budget has (hopefully temporarily) run dry (no pun intended), I will continue to visit Massdrop periodically to see what might be in the offing.
Thanks and Cheers!
