If the ship date wasn't an est 2 months away in massdrop time (ie probably 3 months) I would hop on this. Also is there any word on the vesa mount, I've heard you had to call lg customer service and it was a crapshot if you could find someone who knew about it.

ChRoNicBuRrItOsIts more like 100 dollars in savings, amazon has the 34uc97 for 1299 prime shipping, looks like the stand is slightly different though.

kasekhowever, this is not the 34uc97, this one is the 34uc87, with the better stand and more adjustability. panel itself is the same, however.

kasek34uc87 has the vesa mount on the back as shipped. the one that requires contact with LG is the 34uc97.
