So... which monitor will we receive? 34UM94 or 34UM94-P or 34UM95 or 34UM95-P? I am seeing some confusion in the thread. And what is the difference between the P and non-P versions? Thanks in advance.

ridestpI was part of the first drop. This is for the 34UM94-P, which looks identical to the 95, except it's from their "professional / commercial" line, hence giving it a 3 year warranty instead of the consumer 1 year.
Another note to potential buyers, sure, some people have bleed issues, but most are fine with little to no bleed. But keep this in mind:
-IPS glow - looks like a yellowish hue that can be misconstrued as bleed, but when you move the vantage point of your head, the glow goes away. This is IPS glow, not bleed. But this monitor being so wide has more IPS glow than a standard IPS monitor. It's not a big deal and really not noticable in your apps/games.
-Backlight bleed - This is a whiteish hue that doesn't change in intensity when you move your vantage point.
So a lot of folks may be misreporting the IPS glow as backlight bleed. There's true backlight problems in some cases, but most of us folks are just fine with some glow and very little bleed. It's just that, right now, this monitor has created a very sensitive placebo effect of people hearing "backlight bleed" and now being very sensitive to it or thinking that IPS glow is backlight bleed. Again, this monitor has more IPS glow than a standard monitor due to it being flat and so wide.
I love it though. Picture is great, clarity is great, I have a small about of glow, but isn't noticable except on the black post screen when booting up, and the smallest smallest tiniest bit of actual bleed in the lower left, but I never notice it. To complain about that is being nitpicky.
Using Displayport 1.2 has been no problem, no tearing, no noises, and I run 3GB SLI GTX580 lightning extreme's which are the performance of GTX780.
NOTE: This monitor is low input lag, 18ms, even plays shooters great. BUT, if you're used to 120-144hz screens, you won't like this monitor. When you get conditioned to the response of 120-144hz screens, you won't be able to use anything else. The only people that end up not loving this screen, are 120-144hz users.
Games I've used so far: (without messing with Flawless Widescreen yet)
Sins of a Solar Empire - Just editted an .ini file for the game to get 3440x1440, runs great, playing that space RTS game in 21:9 is cool
Diablo 3 - have to run game in "Fullscreen (windowed mode)" to get it to see your desktop settings of 3440x1440, which for me with SLI then means it's only using 1 vid card ;( but it still runs smooth and is full 21:9
Wow - works fine (as does Wildstar and Guildwars 2)
Xcom - works in 21:9 fine, just the character loadout screen is clipped and the mouse doesn't line up with the buttons so is a little weird, but rest of game is great, especially the tactical combat.
Borderlands 2 - Runs 21:9 fine, just the HUD is stuck at 16:9, but no biggie
Company of Heros 2 - runs 21:9 great
Bad Company 2 - The server browser and game options screens are all 16:9, but the actual gameplay goes to 21:9 and is awesome. I use adaptive vsync and can always push 60fps so I don't see any tearing or input lag. Runs great

SupermoistSupermoist, are you able to run games 21:9 1080p (2560x1080) and fill the screen? Or will they be dot-by-dot and have black borders all around?
I ask because my GTX680 is barely doing 30-40fps with BF4 at 2550x1440 and adding 25% more pixels to that burden isn't going to be great for playability. When the LG arrives, I suspect I'll have to drop down to 2560x1080 until I can afford a better card, and I'm curious what that would be like. I would love to know for BF4 specifically, if you have it, or BC2 if you don't. Thanks in advance.

SupermoistI agree with much of what you said except one thing - I'm a former 120hz user and it only took me a day or two to adjust to my BenQ BL3200PT 32" VA panel (which is an even slower monitor than this one in terms of blur/ghosting) that I used while I waited for my 34UM94 to ship. The verdict's still out as far as which one I prefer between the BenQ and the LG.
IMO, the size and gorgeous color make up for the crisper motion and response times of the fast TN panels. As always, it's a trade-off but for me the increased immersion of the BenQ and this LG (take your pick) provide a more engrossing experience than a faster TN panel does.

SupermoistIPS = In-plane switching, not ISP which isn't a acronym dealing with this monitor. Just for future reference. However good information.

LateralusI agree. I've seen 120hz, but I prefer the immersion of this wide LG to a slightly smoother movement in just shooters. I play Bad Company 2 on this and I get no noticable input lag, for me, 60hz is fine with vsync

Actionable_MangoYou can probably run 2560x1080 and have it fill the whole screen (that's the proper ratio), however it's not the native rez of the screen, so you're not running what's called 1:1 pixel ratio and may look a little blurry. BF4 on this 3440 x 1440 on a single GTX680, you're probably going to have to run the game on med/low settings to get good framerates. This rez is screaming for SLI and difficult for a single card unless putting games on low/med. Unless of course you get a nice new GTX970.
BadCompany2 is an older game and not as hard to drive as BF4, I run it maxxed settings at 3440x1440 and it's great, smooth. But I have OC'd SLI GTX580 3GB's (which is the same as a GTX780), so I have a little more muscle than a single GTX680
If you get this screen, you'll love it, but you might either need a 2nd GTX680, or a single GTX970, whichever is cheapest

GrizzlyflameI haven't played this game on the new screen, sorry. If the 3440 x 1440 was a supported rez that you set in the PlanetSide2 options, but just won't run on that. You already on the very latest vid drivers? Same behavior if you play the game fullscreen vs windowed(fullscreen) ?
