Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

My Little Dot MKII showed up right on schedule - unfortunately after burning in for 70 hours, and considerable swapping of tubes/cables/source/etc, I find the balance of this unit isn't right - it's quite a bit stronger on the right channel. Quite disappointing - I love the sound quality - so I'm requesting an exchange or refund.
Sigh. Rather than wait another drop, I'll probably order from Amazon.
If you just ordered the stock tubes, I'd say "no big loss" because the tube reviews I've read indicate the stock tubes aren't all that great. Here is a terrific review of tubes - after you check this out, search on that same forum for something like "Little Dot Mkii tube rolling" to see reviews specific to your unit. https://www.head-fi.org/threads/little-dot-tube-amps-vacuum-tube-rolling-guide.563884/
In that above article, I like the looks of 3.7 GE JAN5654W and 3.8 Mullard M8100 / CV4010 and 3.10 Voshkod 6ZH1P-EV - in fact my order of the Mkii from Massdrop was for the JAN5654 upgrade, and btw they are terrific! Even though my unit itself seems to be defective & I'm not yet on a really good headset, I can hear the magnificent sound.
Good luck, I hope you solve your issue!
