These are awesome shoes. Mine were uncomfortably snug when I got them, but in hindsight that was the right size; they stretched out in the right places.
From within Australia, these are really hard to get now. Pediware et al. won't ship Loake there any more, and there are no Australian stockists. The few retailers that have Loake don't stock 1880. So bleh.
From the Pediwear website:
Loake export restrictions updated to include US and Canada in addition to Australia, Chile, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, South Korea and Switzerland.
Update February 2016 - Canada and the US have been added to the list of countries to which we can no longer export Loake shoes.

ianhowsonHmm, I didn't know that other countries besides US and CA were on the no ship list. I'll see if I can add more countries for this drop.

ianhowsonNot so, I order my Loake shoes from the UK all of the time and I live in Australia. Order from Robinsonsshoes.com. They also have free international shipping. This shoe is currently $277 US dollars and they have regular 15% or 20% off offers.

CharryOdd that they can ship to Australia. I've had the same experience as ianhowson and this is the first I've heard of a retailer openly shipping them here since the restrictions came in.

eecanActually, I correct my statement sorry. I checked and the last shoes I bought were Barkers, not Loakes (last Loakes to Australia were late last year) so apologies!

CharryI havent placed the order but it does not look like robinsons is going to stop me ordering and delivering to Australia? Is this site legit? How do they get around loake's embargo, do they have legit product?

StorytimesI corrected my statement. Robinsons cannot ship Loakes to Australia anymore. They can however ship other brands like Barker., which I would recommend. They have free international shipping and you don't have to pay VAT plus often have 15 or 20%sales. I have now had 8 pairs of shoes from robinSons sent to either Australia or the USA. They are excellent to deal with.

CharryUrgh at this point I've spent too much time looking into loake 1880... Might have to wait for a drop that ships to Au or pay the exorbitant local prices (near double)

Storytimescheck out Robinsons shoes for Barker brand - better quality than Loakes, they are made in England, and beautiful shoes. Shipped free and no VAT added.
