I just got my drops in today. I will say, rares are extremely rare in this drop (no pun intended). Consider yourself lucky if you get even 5 in your 1000 cards. I got 3 foils in two drops, one was uncommon. I realize that I'm not expecting great cards in this, but some playable uncommons/commons would have been nice to see. Out of my 2 drops I got very few basic lands (which was really nice), but 25 tip cards? (Why were these not pulled prior to shipping?)
I got around 100 uncommons, of which maybe 10 were playable, and 3 or 4 were over a buck (A tutelage was probably the most expensive card in this entire lot at around $2), but there were plenty of EDH playable commons/lands, however these are so overproduced being in almost every sealed commander deck series released, they aren't worth much.
As for card age, less than 10% was pre-Alara block, with barely anything pre-Kamigawa (a spattering of Ice Age, Visions, Urza block, and some 4th/revised). Obviously nothing pre-Fallen Empires, but there was a Fallen Empires Hymn To Tourach (ah, the memories).
Nothing too abundant in my drop in terms of card count. Most of any single card was probably 8 or so, and that was rare. I saw a lot of 3 or 4 ofs in a row. The standard card count was high, lots of Dragons of Tarkir (being the most abundant standard legal set in my drops), followed by Origins, then some Oath/BFZ. There were a total of 5 Shadows over Innistrad cards.
All-in-All if you just wanted some cards to bring back memories or build some casual table magic decks (or in my case to build some basic starter decks for an 8 year old I am going to try to get into Magic) then this drop might be for you, though you might be better off (as some have stated) going with the more balanced spatterings available on Amazon.
