Currently (and pretty much always) $49.99 for SS, Brass, or Copper at Amazon. Are these things so much more expensive around the world that its worth it to buy from massdrop?!

enero$85 from Amazon in Canada.  Once you factor in exchange and shipping prices are comparable.  Sometimes I find things are cheaper here, sometimes a little more.  What I have found is that they get deals on some things that just aren't on Amazon.ca, and are way more expensive at the Canadian retailers that do carry them, so I keep an eye on things here and deal with the (sometimes) longer shipping times.

minhthemasterNope, and the next lowest listing is for over $200.  If I hadn't just bought a similar flashlight, I would probably be in.

minhthemasternot sure I can justify the extra cost for a crappy battery and a ugly case.

minhthemasterActually, the Canadian Amazon includes the battery and carrying case for $85.90 and free shipping. Works out to slightly cheaper than the cost of this drop, and you'd get it in 5-7 business days without Prime.

TDizzleI did notice that upon a closer look, but it has come down 15% in price since I first looked.  I find where Massdrop is a good choice is during a blue box where the price is similar with upgrade and additional options, or where it just isn't offered except for a ridiculous amount.  An example was the regular Maratac AAA Aluminum flashlight.  I can't remember the Massdrop price offhand, but it certainly wasn't $132.78 with $9.50 shipping.  If I had been looking for one at the time of the drop, I probably would have purchased it.  I've just found it nice to have a (fairly) reasonably priced alternative on some gear to the options I normally have where I live.

nrthmnFor sure, I hear you. I wasn't aware the price had dropped since you last looked. Maybe Amazon is keeping an eye on Massdrop's drops? lol. But yes, I agree. If they have blue box deals or special upgrades/unique accessories, Massdrop can definitely be worthwhile. Honestly, as long as their price is close to competitors, I don't really care that much. My only issue with them is the prolonged shipping times. I'm in on a drop for some Fisher Space Pens, and they're a month past the estimated ship date and still haven't shipped out yet.
