weird drop.. Manix is cool but no interest in a military.... 10 bucks less and have a para 3 to your door in 2 days on amazon.

xformulaxPSA, Amazon has some fakes. Even if you buy from Amazon as the merchant, they fufill through 3rd party sellers occasionally who might not be on the up and up.

DocZZZI suppose it's possible, since we don't know their supply chain. That being said, I haven't ever heard of any fakes here. Imagine the comments section after a whole drop of counterfeits lol.

DocZZZI believe MD does work directly with the manufacturers. Well at least their custom collaboration knives are.

Gunnersmate2For collaborations for sure, but I feel like you're right and they work with OEMs for most of the other drops. If they're not I assume they would also take steps to verify a seller's authenticity, where as Amazon probably won't bother because it's just a robot deciding how to fill things and not a person putting together a large group buy.

Gunnersmate2Well custom collab knives I’m sure they work with the manufacturer, it’s a collaboration afterall. But don’t forget that just like Amazon, massdrop sells a whole slew of other products. For example right now there is a HP gaming monitor and Samsung SSD. Im highly doubtful that massdrop talks with either one of those mother companies for these drops. Another example are the adidas hiking boots that are available right now. Very little chance they talked directly to adidas for these, because if they did I’m sure they would’ve requested a more popular shoe. It’s probably just stock their supplier/distributor had and offered it to them. fakes wise I haven’t heard or experienced any of this on massdrop which is a testament to their QC.

AstroBevMD has made mistakes like on the description of the drops (spyderco blade steel ) but I've never received or heard of anyone receiving counterfeit merchandise. 👍👍

DocZZZMaybe. I know they work with Spyderco directly. I've been waiting on a delica drop that has been delayed and spyderco wrote a letter to massdrop and the community which was posted in the discussion.
