I had to order the LED with greater dispersion because the brighter, tighter CREE LED was not available. I have the CREE on another flashlight and it is AMAZING how much light is projected out of a lousy AA battery! That's the only reason I'd downgrade to 4 stars from 5. Other than that, it's a great little flashlight and I look forward to seeing how it ages; I bet it's a classy look a couple of years from now!
