Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Here's my impressions after burning it in for 48 hours and disabling my EQ: lows and bass separation are waaaaaayyy better, WOW. The best on my collection right now (M50x, K267, K7XX, HD 598) vocals: worse on higher pitches, misses a lot of details but much clearer on male voices. Really liked this headphone on rock songs especially My Chemical Romance. Treble/High are not very clear on this headphones, my K7XX is just much more livelier and I prefer its sound signature(again with this headphone much more darker).

Just got mine and I do not like the sound at all. Like others has been saying, it's too muddy and I had to EQ it to get a good sounding separation. Ended up returning to my AKG K7XX headphones after an hour, I do not need to EQ these headphones to get a good sound. Driving this with an JDS Labs O2 headphone amp
My HTC M8 can't drive this thing properly anyways so I didn't even try it to compare against AKG K267. This was the EQ I tried making (I just eyeballed reversed the graph on the description) :

I haven't even engaged the High Gain Button on it and the volume is on 2 o'clock position
I didn't EQ mine but I have to accept that the sound signature is different from my A700X's which feel lighter despite it being closed. The T-X0 feels intense and not in a muddy way. At least to me. So far, I've burnt them in for 50 hours.
