Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

If the mic port is useless to you then you can save some money and get the o2 + sdac all in one on massdrop for 150 if they drop it again.
The schiit fulla 2 distorts when the volume is more than like %60, it can power most things, unless you get one cheap on ebay I rather you get a magni 3 amp with a dac such as the sdac.
If you want to spend $100 more then get a sdac and a aune x7s. If you spend anymore then you can start considering things like the schiit jotunheim or tube amps.
If you are having hissing or static you want to isolate the sound and a external dac will help with that and make sure your amp is getting clean signal. I would probably rather get a better amp such as a magni 3 then a schit fulla 2.
There is the aune x1s on massdrop right now and I bought that. Should be more clean than a fulla 2 and better dac and I know it can handle 6xx enough. I also bought another amp/dac tube off ebay and I will be getting that sooner.
Just buy a magni 3 and be happy with that. Add a sdac later.
