MustacheRashYeah man, they should call it what it is, x-acto blades. I brought a 100 pack a month ago for $7. $40 for this and 1 blade must be a April’s fools joke 1 month late
MustacheRashI can see why you might think that, but actually it's not a cost issue - it's a matter of shipping the blades separately in a package - even if they are wrapped/contained - which would change the hazard class for shipping and force us to restrict the number of countries we could ship to. If we ship this with just one blade that's already installed, we're able to offer this to members in all countries.
rhinocerosbladdersometimes I wonder if this is true or not. I will take Jonas word for it. However, u can buy a 15 pack of #11 x-acto blades that are enclosed in a little plastic container that is literally smaller than a matchbox. It the size of the small thumb. Unless you are shipping this in an envelope, I dont necessary buy that argument.
HitMan009I wish our shipping partner was a bit more helpful in these situations, even if the blades are contained in a small box they are still considered "loose" and it doesn't matter if we use an envelope or box :( I've been asking them to relax the rules on shipping fixed blades and especially kitchen knives, but they have rules about protecting their carriers and that's hard to argue with - it seems that a few rotten apples who in the past have not been so careful with packaging may have spoiled the bunch.
See now that would make for a truly competitive offering: TUKK with 100 blades (Over $17 on Techni Edge) would beat the price and delivery of this product.
