I've contacted Millit numerous times and methods with no luck getting anyone to reply to me about buying a new pocket clip. Allegedly they made new ones that they would sell for $15 to Perpetua owners. The screw location for the clip is too narrow to fit any standard aftermarket clips. Does anyone know how I can find a clip to fit this knife so I can actually carry it without worry of losing it?

AverageDudeI recently received mine from Millit. Shane made contact after some emails and then after a few weeks I got the titanium clip and O-springs/screws in the mail. Very happy with it.

tacdrvrThey did make titanium pocket clips that were sold for $17 + (I think) $3.95 shipping. The design of the titanium clips was...exactly the same. It was one more disappointment in the seemingly perpetual saga of Perpetua disappointment, and it really stuck in my craw that Millit would price hose clips so as to generate profit. I'm not saying I expected them for free, but considering Millit were responsible for at least some of the production delay with their decision to use the to try out new laser engraving equipment, which no one there was yet familiar with. And considering, moreover, that Millit was entirely responsible for the sub-par QC, which was especially bothersome for its clear signs of people rushing to finish the job, such as my deformed pivot pin with its marks showing where the assembler had squeezed too hard with pliers, which flattened it and caused it to flare at one end, but then decided to jam the thing into the liner anyway (god what I pain that was to fix)--so with all having gone on, I thought Millit should have been selling the new pocket clip for whatever it cost to make. And if it cost $17 for a few grams of titanium with simple blue anodizing, fashioned into a shape they'd recently made over 1K times, well...they might have bigger problems than pocket clips and arcane laser engraving machines. Speaking of the shape of the clip: what would have been really, really nice, esp for 17 bucks, would have been entirely redesigned pocket clips. The clip's blue color adds some nice contrast to the look of the knife, and lighter titanium was an improvement over the stainless steel, but weight wasn't that clip's worst problem, nor second worst. Nor third. Nor fourth. So again, I spent twenty bucks to replace an awful pocket clip with a slightly lighter, better looking version of the same awful clip. I suppose I'm ultimately glad I did, because I actually do carry the knife sometimes, but placing the order for it I resolved that it was the last thing I'd be buying from Millit. My rant finished, let me clarify: were you asking about a clip because you don't have one at all, i.e., your stock stainless steel clip broke or got bent? Or were you just asking about getting a better clip? If the latter, I'd suggest asking around to local metal fabrication shops. You might find one willing to make you a custom clip for an acceptable price. If you have a trade school or nearby college that offers metal worker certification, that might be an avenue to explore. Students who need project credits are often more willing to take on small one-off jobs like that, and they're certainly going to be less expensive. If you find some businesses (local or otherwise; you might inquire with Etsy sellers who make clips for other types of knives) who would be willing to make you a clip except that the job is just too small, a strategy to try is to figure out what the minimum mandatory cost would need to be, then have custom clips made for a few other knives in your collection. That worked for a friend of mine who ended up with five new clips, though I don't know for what price. Conversely, if you are just looking for any Perpetua-compatible pocket clip, I could give you my original stainless steel one. If indeed any clip that fits will do, just say so in a reply here or message me and we'll sort it out.

HatuletohThanks for the offer to send me yours. I'm good though. Shane at Millit contacted me about a week after I posted and about 2 weeks ago I received a new titanium clip, springs, screws for $18. I do wish it was a free upgrade, but the knife itself is really great so I'm just glad to get it carry worthy. I do agree the choice by Millit to use 300 series non-hardenable steel was an odd one especially for the pocket clips. And if they planned a second run they could have just offered to swap owners old 300 series clip for a new hardened one during their fresh run. Heck I'd have been happy to pay the round trip mailing cost too. But business is business and apparently Millit's contract with Drop didn't stipulate any warranty or service requirements for customers. I'm just glad Millit was willing to make new clips at all since the holes don't seem to be standard spacing for aftermarket clips. I do luv my Perpetua now though!
