This is mine from the last drop. <added more pics underneath)Picture taken last night and apropos of the watch’s main function, it is a full moon which you can see at the 6 o’clock register. You get a triple calendar, the blue arrow points to the date. If you look at the ring of numbers on the outside chapter, pay attention to 9 and 23. The alignment of the numerals flip. I like it, but you will read 9 as 6 until you get used to it. The day of the week is adjusted via the pusher at 10. I have a 7 inch wrist, watch wears nicely and slips under my shirt cuff. The band is nice leather, but fake crocodile embossed. 30 min counter at 12 with day and month, running seconds and 24 hour indicator (not an independently setable gmt) at 9, 12 hour counter and the star, or should I say moon of the show at 6. You set the watch to the nearest full moon, and wind your way manually to the current date to set. The Valjoux 7751 is elaboré grade and mine runs 5-7 seconds fast per day. I bought this from Massdrop a few months ago at 1300, however the watch did not come with the warranty manual filled out and stamped. I contacted Massdrop support who eventually got me the vendor information. Finally, I’ve examined this under a cheap 8x mag loupe, and it’s very pretty. I did discover one very tiny small, I guess indentation, somewhere near the 2 and 3 hour markers, but it’s literally only under the loupe and I can barely make it out. This is one of the more expensive watches in my modest collection and I enjoy it quite a bit. It can be a bit difficult to read at a glance, it’s very shiny and bright, and that’s exactly what I wanted but could be a negative to some. Hope this helps.

Watchyoutalkingaboutwas it cheaper on the drop you bought it from?

rahulnySame price, other drop also offered a different dial choice, it was a darker grey. However that model had a stainless steel silver pointer for the date; this model has a very interesting blue enamel/lacquer type pointer for the date.

WatchyoutalkingaboutThank you for your feedback! Very helpful. Any idea what the lug-to-lug distance is?

middlepathI stand corrected. 50 mm lug to lug exactly.

WatchyoutalkingaboutThanks so much for checking. That's too wide for my 6.6" wrist. Bummer.

middlepathThe Lug design allows the strap to fall straight down, unlike a 50mm lug to lug on a watch with a bracelet. It’s a deployant clasp where the excess band is tucked inside, so nothing is dangling out. My wrist is just barely 7 inches.

WatchyoutalkingaboutThank you again for the details. I've joined this drop. Being an elabore movement, the accuracy is great... Almost COSC level. How did you got the vendor information from Massdrop? Because I'll need it for this watch and also for a Montblanc I got earlier from here. Also, do you know what's the strap size? Seems like 22mm, and I want to replace the strap for a bracelet... If I can find one from Maurice LaCroix I'll get it, provided I've got the measurement.

MarPabl20 mm and I just emailed customer support. Had to go back and forth a few times but they were helpful and got it for me. For the montblanc, pretty sure that’s just sold with Massdrop warranty, so no vendor info.

WatchyoutalkingaboutYes indeed the Montblanc came as yours with an empty warranty card (at least we got that card)... But the warranty is with Massdrop on that watch, seems Maurice LaCroix is more flexible than Montblanc... Anyway, I hope we'll never need the warranty 🍀

WatchyoutalkingaboutNice Zelos ZX!!

Octoberprince78Thank you. I highly recommend Zelos as a microbrand. My emails were answered by Elshan himself who was very polite, helpful and responsive. The watches are fairly priced, and it never hurts to ask about the price if you get my drift. My ZX runs about +6 - +11 depending on position, all my valjouxs tend to run quick so I’m happy. Solid workmanship, one minor flaw in terms of the position of one of the register hands (slightly off, maybe 1mm?) but a gorgeous case that is aging quite nicely. Highly recommend you check them out.

WatchyoutalkingaboutNice! I'm way down off the peak of my own collecting and am down to maybe ten. I have had a lot of watches and very nice ones. I indulged myself and bought and wore my 'grails' then let pretty much all of them go. It's funny but after having major pieces, I most miss having a cool all-in-one sort of watch like this one. Not gold, not platinum, not AP or VC or Rolex… Nope. I had an old steel Zenith el Primero that was a chrono, complete calendar, and moon-phase—all packed into a 39mm, round, step-bezelled case. Crystal on the back is a must-have or it might as well just be a quartz. Really! It's all about honoring a 400 year-old mechanical art. It's about having a tiny machine that keeps track of and frames Your Universe. These types of pieces are the watches that I had a hard time letting go of when all the dust settled. Don't let it go!!!
