elrodeKinda be nice to get 10 dice in the set, too. I'm a little surprised 6d6 has the same cost as a full set of polys ... seems like economy of scale would lower the cost.
JeffWilderNope. You produce them in batches, and then sort them from what I've seen. The economy of scale doesn't come into play for one set. It's actually more work to change your process to only grab from a single bin.
ChuckDeeIf that's true, what in the world do they do with all those extra d12s and d4s? (d20s wouldn't be a problem, and likewise probably not d%s and d10s, but it'd start to get bad with d8s ... )
JeffWilderWhen I say batches, I mean they produce a bulk amount of d6's, and a bulk amount of each die. It's not like they just produce a lot of d6's and only those to package. Below is a sample of what a bin of dice ready for engraving looks like from a campaign I was a part of.
