SkipPeThese zesters are dishwasher safe. I wash mine by hand and it is not difficult as long as you go with the grain of the blades, otherwise you just end up zesting your sponge ;)
SkipPeIt's easy to clean as long as you wash it immediately after using it (or leave it soaked in water after using it). It only gets difficult to clean if whatever you've zested/grated is allowed to harden on the blade.
kstokleyI've been using one for years (zesting, cheeses, nutmeg, chocolate), and can comfortably say that it's very easy to clean. Immediately after use, I rinse both sides in lukewarm water, brush with my hand THE OPPOSITE WAY, maybe one more rinse in piping hot water, then shake it off and it's done. Really done.
Just don't use cold water, as it doesn't dissolve fats. And don't use piping hot water with cheese or chocolate, because they melt and become more sticky.
