Is the Aluminium one sealed aluminium? I'm not too sure if that's the way to describe it, something like the sealed copper they use in expensive pans maybe? I've read some study linked articles on aluminium being able to permeate the skin and contribute to alzheimers.
DeudermontAnodizing might be what you are referring to, and the answer is no. Solid bar stock comes with what is referred to as a clad finish, however the machining process removes this and I do not add any surface processing afterwards.
All of the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) that I have read indicate that aluminum in a solid form does not present a health risk. The particulates from grinding, or the fumes from welding do present health risks. Hope this helps!
