Why is this higher than MSRP and more expensive than just buying a box on ebay or 3 single packs?

TPBlasterYou can't find MM15 packs online for less than MSRP anymore. The crowd goal is MSRP for 3 packs, that's not bad. And maybe box prices beat that, but duh, they're supposed to.

UranusSingle packs should be sold at a discount from the full box price. Why? Because of potential pack mapping, or other non-obvious tampering. Open a full box and open packs until you hit one or more mythics; if you're ahead of the curve, sell the remaining boosters knowing that you've skewed the odds in your favor.
Don't pay a premium for loose boosters (unless you're buying from your LGS and you trust them).

kheddenThat's fucking ridiculous. It's not a premium. It's MSRP. Packs have to be more expensive. Bulk product is always cheaper. You couldn't justify selling a box (24 packs) for $280 and loose packs for $10 to a consumer. They'd stare you in the face and buy 24 loose packs. I'm not saying anyone should buy loose boosters unless they're strictly better than per pack box prices or very close, but that's just how people are going look at pricing.

UranusIt's not ridiculous; it's reality. Would you buy single packs, sight unseen, of Eldritch Moon (known to be mappable) from an unknown seller? Please say no, unless you're paying a nice discount and have your expectations in check.
These big investors/stores open hundreds and hundreds of boxes at a time to sell singles. They quickly learn # of expected mythics per box and other stats and patterns. If they wish, they could easily set aside the remaining packs once they hit enough mythics (or a masterpiece) per box. It's not random and opening packs gives you information as to what the remaining packs may contain.
I have no way of knowing if this seller would do this. I hope not, but I'm not betting my money on it.

khedden1 pack is $15 most places. Most people can't afford the box for $230. Most LGS don't even have Eternal Masters stock anymore. Are you suggesting no one buy Modern Masters 2015 packs at all? This is a very reasonable price for trio of out-of-print booster packs from a premium, low-key print run set. Just look at the options people have. This is easily one of the best if you don't plan on dropping over $200.

UranusEveryone is free to do what they like with their own money. I am just advocating that everyone be informed.
The price here is similar or even a tiny bit higher than current ebay prices for loose packs.

UranusFrankly, I would rather put my loot towards modern masters 2017. check the card list from mm15 to mm17, not even a debate
