No true ankle protection. I prefer to buy Helston model.

KylyuWe actually sourced the same ankle protection used by rev'it and some 2015 alpinestare boots. The ankle protection def. isn't the shock absorbing tech that some boots have now. But if we built them with that it would kind of defeat the purpose we are going for, which is a boot that you can wear comfortably every single day and ride whenever you feel like it.
