Absolutely no reason to get a RTX 2080 when the 1080 TI's are just as good and cheaper.

killerkrillBut where can I buy a brand new GTX 1080 ti that's cheaper? I've been looking around and all I've been seeing are at around 1000+ price point

TedtheheadYea, the 1080ti is now around the same price if not more (except maybe for used), so the 2080 is actual the better deal

TedtheheadIf you are talking about mining 1080ti's were not used for mining, it just didn't make sense. Plus that phobia of mined cards was proven false because mined cards were actually stressed less then their gaming use brothers. Not gonna get specific there but if you cared to read up on why it's easily available. Beyond that there is really no reason not to buy a 1080ti used or any card for that matter if it's in good shape which is likely since most aren't bothered maybe a few times. But hey if you just HAVE to have new then better go RTX.
