Is the R89 head not the same as the EJ head?

JawboxxyI think that EJ heads are outsourced and made by Muhle. So the only difference is the type of handle and the price tag.
EJ is heavier and less expensive, Muhle is lighter and more expensive (on Amazon.com there is a significant price gap, but on Amazon.co.uk the prices are almost the same).
Here's a nice comparison of the 4 similar models: Edwin Jagger DE8911, Edwin Jagger DE89, Edwin Jagger DE89L and Muhle R89. http://shavenook.com/thread-edwin-jagger-de8911-vs-edwin-jagger-de89l-vs-muhle-r89-safety-razors

KAPS1M0Wow thanks for the thorough breakdown. Although I convinced myself not to pull the trigger on this purchase from your information, I'm sure it might convince more than a few people to jump onboard. I'll keep an eye out for your comments from here on out!
