I thought that a NATO watch strap had to be fabric. In not sure you can even call it a NATO strap if it isn't as part of being a NATO watch strap is that it comes in the NATO authorised color scheme. Do they have color options for nation or unit, because if they did I would possibly get one as it can be hard to find find units colors in production.
warriorscotThe straps are usually made out of Nylon. The color options by nation and unit is a great idea and we'll look into it for a future drop.

kunalkumarThat would be good , but It isn't really an idea NATO watch straps are actual things that exist as a part of actual NATO regulations and designs just like other equipment from uniform to ammunition are regulated in NATO signatory nations. Unfortunately they aren't issue kit anymore which is why getting new ones is a pain as only a few places still make them.
To be honest it's kind of borderline on selling regulations to call these NATO watch straps if they aren't in NATO approved colors as strictly they are NATO "style" straps.

warriorscotNATO just indicates one of the types of strap that you can change without removing a watch's spring bars. The other type of this kind of strap is Zulu. This site gives you a good idea of what a Nato strap is: http://www.natozulu.com/content/9-nato-strap-instructions

warriorscotThey are only called NATO straps because they have a NATO stock number since they are used by the British Ministry of Defense. It's just a style.
