Until we got this guy.
Had it for a year and I have to say they do deliver. Cleans 98% of the hair around the house, even under chairs / tables / furniture.
Just make sure not to leave any plush materials around (indoor sandals), and close the door to rooms you don't want cleaned (they will attempt to go over obstacles half an inch high, so leave a thick strip to cordon the area off). And clean their bin every once in a while (they will beep to let you know), otherwise they will be a lot less effective.
