Hi found out that there are 2 types of 18650 batteries, the ones that I bought that are about 66mm long and the ones with protection that are 69.5/69.2mm long http://www.ebay.com/itm/Olight-3-6V-3400mAh-18650-Protected-Rechargeable-Battery-for-M22-M20S-M18-A8K-/172426468168?hash=item28256b1b48:g:tHYAAOSwYaFWgegD The other TM26 that I bought you could buy the batteries with it.....the Olight 3400mah at US$65 so it looks like there is no problem with the torch its just the batteries, one part number for two different battery sizes. one costs AU$10 for 4 and the other is AU$100 for 4, guess which one it takes. Cheers

Greg.sI researched this some more as well and it's just plain idiotic. This flashlight does NOT take 18650 spec batteries, because the sizing is in the number. 18650 means that the battery should have a 18mm diameter and 65mm length. Unfortunately, this flashlight does NOT work with 65mm length batteries, and therefore is NOT compatible with 18650 batteries.
This flashlight requires batteries that are 69-70mm long as you stated. I see Nitecore sells batteries that are 69.6mm long and calls them "18650". Fucking annoying.
