I would LOVE to purchase these boots, but I'm extremely nervous as I don't want to risk receiving damaged/discolored boots. Is there truly no exchanged/refund if the product is damaged? Could someone from Massdrop please confirm this?

BMW_M3Although we're final sale for all items, if the product arrives to you DOA/in damaged condition we can always contact the vendor and try helping you with that. Don't worry. Now that being said, it's important to understand the product and what to expect -- a lot of times we receive requests for folks requesting a refund when the product shipped correctly. These are made out of Horween's CXL leather (and a few other choices as well) and it tends to have its own subtleties and natural tones that will make each pair unique. Hope that helps a bit. Thanks for your interest on this drop!

TomasV@TomasV Thanks, that clears it up a little bit. The main concern isn't that the color doesn't quite match the picture, it's that the two boots are actually the same color. There are a few pictures in the comments that show a pair of boots that have a drastic color difference. As long as that situation would fall under the category in which Massdrop/the vendor would help with a refund/exchange, that sounds good to me. Can you confirm? Thanks so much!

BMW_M3Not a problem. If the colors drastically vary from one shoe on the same pair to the other, we would contact the vendor to help us replace/repair that pair.
However it is important to clarify that variation from the photos is 100% to be expected (especially in natural Chromexcel where literally every hide is different). Chromexcel, in general, is going to have some variation.
With all Chromexcel what you will almost always notice is that the sides/quarters of the boot will be darker in color than the vamp. That is because Chromexcel is a pull-up leather, and when the leather is pulled onto the vamp, it 'pulls' the pull-up out - making it lighter in color. The quarters will be tend to look darker, because they are not pulled.
Hope that answer your concerns. Thanks for your interest on this drop!
