I do not see this being interchangeable with the cheaper BenQ w1070.
This Optoma projector has a longer throw (brighter lamp, tighter projection).
This Optoma is significantly quieter (26 dB to 33 dB), less than half as loud.
This Optoma includes stereo sound, while the BenQ has a single speaker.
I think the BenQ is better for the home market, while the Optoma is more suited for a lighted conference room.
