Hi everyone, JAone from down-under where this watch is made; I currently have an Aquamarine 45 blue fathom edition which has the same movement, which I also have in two other watches and proves to be extremely reliable maybe +5 secs per day or less. Certainly better than my watches running the Seiko NH35 movement contrary to public opinion!! And almost as good as my swiss automatics.
The Aquamarine has Sapphire Crystal ,I think because it is aimed at the diver's market for the anti-reflective qualities - although it doesn't have a rotating bezel like my other diver's watches!!
I have other watches with standard mineral glass , they are just fine,the glass on this Flieger 47 has an upgraded coating on it to make the glass even tougher ,so I would be sure this is probably as tough as it gets at this price point.
The quality you get from Panzera is as another member put it; "as good as some swiss watches", I would add the quality of product finishing is sometimes better! Especially as it is made here in Australia where production costs are up there as one of the highest in the world, due to our very high wage to living cost. So if you like what you see,there is no reason not to buy. Don't swayed by the non swiss movement and non sapphire tragics!! Just buy it ,you won't regret it.
