massdrop01The Drop case is a V100, which is a entry level case originally intended for budget pistol storage. It’s not waterproof, the hinge isn’t as overbuilt, and the handle doesn’t fold down. The 1300 you’ve linked to is a much better case for exactly the same money.

massdrop01The Vault is described as “weather resistant” rather than “watertight” like the remainder of their line. The Storm series used to be similar but that was supposed to have been upgraded to full IP67 by this year.

SquirrelPorridgeI've been doing a lil bit more research on this thanks to you, and it looks like the other important distinction is that Vault is made in Mexico as opposed to Protector that's made in USA. It's also made out of a different material(Vault - PE vs Protector PP). I've decided to go with the Nalpak 1300 instead given that it's the same price and i don't have to wait more than a month to get it.
