Again the delivery is postponed. Is this always the case? This is my first order.

first-timeI don' t know that this is ALWAYS the case, but given the size of the order, I can't say I'm too surprised. This is only my second drop, but the first (a few months ago now) was a lot smaller - and from memory, was concluded (i.e. goods received and shipped) much faster.

JamerelbeEither the vendor was irresponsible with their prediction of how long it would take, or our friends here did not relay sufficient information on the numbers that were going to be involved. I doubt the latter was the case. The amount of time this is dragging out is almost humorous; and, if it falls to the vendor, they shouldn't be used again unless these circumstances were somehow "unique". That said, when we are told we will hear back about something on a certain day, we should expect to hear something during the regular business hours of that day (PST). If there is nothing to report, just say so. It is poor customer service and just down right rude to consistently not meet the standards you set yourselves. I am as disappointed with that as anything else regarding this drop.

first-timeNot at all, I've had things ship out a week after I've ordered. Most drops i've backed average around 2 weeks per drop though, which is reasonable, that includes time for the manufacturer to pack and ship, then for massdrop to unpack, sort (if all are not the same) repackage, and then ship to us.
Pilot (the vendor) just seem to be a bit slow this time, they might not have had all the quantity ordered at their warehouse and are possibly trying to get the quantity needed in a short time, whether this is manufacturing new ones or pulling some from overseas channels. Hopefully the next update from Massdrop staff will clarify!
