I've had one of these in a fine nib since they were first introduced many years ago. To be honest the retracting nib is a bit gimmicky (I prefer a cap to catch leaks) but it's otherwise an excellent pen. I have many fountain pens and this is still one of my main choices. Never had an issue with the mechanism, very reliable.
