Firstly, thanks to @Aramchek @ecao @KarlBlessing @RP68068 @Vpnq @ironhelixx and everyone who has chimed in regarding the product information.
This drop is for Platinum 3776 model #PTB-5000B #1 only - not any varieties of PTB-10000, PTB-15000, or PTB-25000. Platinum Pen Co. uses this Century video on their 3776 full-line product page, but I agree that it's not representative of this model individually, so I've removed it. As members have already noted, the nib is gold-plated stainless steel.
The sample that we received does have an internal plastic cap (photo below). This cap resembles Platinum's 'slip-n-seal' cap, but is not clearly visible through the opaque resin. I will contact the vendor on Monday to confirm the type of internal plastic cap on this model. If the information given was incorrect, we'll give anyone who joined the drop a chance to cancel.
Finally, I want to thank the community for voicing concerns about this drop. While we strive to always provide complete and correct information, sometimes mistakes are made. I take responsibility for this error, and appreciate the information that you provided here to keep other members informed.
Thanks for your participation and understanding. -- Jonas

JonasHeinemanThe USA version of the site has it all mixed up, so it makes it confusing. The older 3776 (that appears closest to the Century 3776 in design) is no longer in production. As only the Century 3776 shows here on their Japanese site. http://www.platinum-pen.co.jp/e_fountain_century.html
Only the Century line has the Slip-N-Seal cap which are PNB-10000 (Black (#1), Bourgogne (#71) , and Chartres (#51) ), and the "Nice" PNB-20000R. They all have inner caps, but only the Century line has that spring-loaded design to create that "seal".
Most of the other models that mention 3776 is because of the nib model/design. Not even their flagship The Platinum President has the slip-and-seal design, but does sport a 14K 3776 nib.
