The strap came out softer, but thinner than I expected. I'm enjoying the rustic/handmade feel and it is supremely comfortable. The tail is quite long however but luckily the keeper doesn't seem to slide around.

lamkevinpI've actually found the opposite, to the point where I'm a kind of disappointed. I picked up RyanPopoff's wallet and was excited to pick up this watch strap for that Retro Seiko 5 that dropped last month. The band came in and I've worn it for two days straight. The keeper always ends up sliding around and pushed up against the watch body eventually even though when I put it on it starts off much closer to the clasp. I'm a thin dude so I too have a long tail the way mine wears too. I don't know.

cbtlrThat's interesting. My keeper is a pretty tight fit. I guess there is some manufacturing variance.

lamkevinpI think my keeper sliding around so much is just that, a manufacturing variance. I know these are made to order, hand made and so I really like supporting operations like that. Maybe I'll find a way to adhere it to a single spot somehow. Maybe Ryan has a recommendation? Wish I had a rivet machine readily available.
cbtlrWant to email me about the keeper? I can fix this for you

lamkevinpI have had the blue strap on a Stowa Pilot for over a week, at first I did not like the look of the leather (looked plastic) as I have worn it every day the grain is starting to show and it looks really good. The strap is supper soft, I have a larger wrist so the long end is ok even if it take some work to get it in the keeper.
