Primula sells the top part with a stainless steel permafilter as well. Pour directly into a cup, or use something like a Bodum pot as the carafe. That makes more sense, as you get the option of using it or a paper filter. Some people think the paper filter gives a little cleaner cup. Not sure it's entirely significant, but that setup is available on Amazon and at Bed, Bath & Beyond. This guy here *was* available on Amazon, but not now, and the last reviews are kind of old...at least a year, IIRC. The reviews were good...just not many of them, and as I say, none apparently for a while.
