I have no experience with this knife but to all the steel snobs: properly heat treated D2 is truly amazing! Steel is always a trade-off. I use, actually use Aus8 often, usually daily. It's my go-to home utility steel. It's stupid easy to sharpen, takes a good amount of abuse and I don't cry if/when I kill it. It certainly has it's place, for me. For that reason I'm a CRKT fan. However, I wish they'd start offering their more popular models in higher end steels, even just sprint runs. An M16 in even the "middle" range steels would be sweet! BTW, if you want a stainless D2 try out CTS-XHP.
