It's a very well-made knife for the money, with a few minor flaws. Watch the non-shill review on youtube. I'm not sure if the issues have been corrected in this thumb-stud version.
QwervyIt looked like different reviewers had dramatically different ability to use the hole, at least one of them didn't fumble it at all.
Does anyone who really likes hole openers have one of these? I heard the Kizer Mistral was also a pain to open, but mine is fun as hell to index or spydie flick. I'm hoping that this Puffin is similar, great action for those who know how to use it.
QwervyI got mine, it's awesome, the slot is best used with an index flick. Thumbs and spydie are possible but I think you have to practice the thumb more and it's slower or less reliable, and the knife is compact enough that it's faster and less grip-shifty for me to use the index reach down style of flick than to aim my middle finger. Fits the slot better too. Really light, it has milling pockets inside, just a generally impressive knife for the price.
