Randolph is not set up to facilitate returns on our behalf. These sunglasses were made-to-order for our community - in some styles that they don't even offer - so they don't have the inventory to offer exchanges, even if they wanted to. In short, be sure to go through our customer support if you have any questions about your order. Thanks!

IanAndersonHi Ian,
The Aviators are available for purchase on their website with even more choices compared to the MD offerings so for sure they have inventory or can create more. As for setting up returns, all it takes is a RMA number and return address... With all due respect, I'm getting different answers from MD Customer Support, this public wall and Randolph Engineering. Please sort it out and get back to us.

You're right that you got conflicting info from our CS team; I don't know why that happened and I'm sorry for the confusion, but at the end of the day we sell everything final sale unless noted otherwise (you can see this in our FAQ under 'after the drop ends'). And on top of that, we did offer a lot of combos that aren't available through Randolph (for example, we sold a lot of matte chrome frames with tan lenses, which you can't get from Randolph and was a special order). For this reason, even if it was our policy to offer exchanges, many of the styles wouldn't be available to do this with so it wouldn't be fair to all drop participants. The way we were able to get this amazing price on these sunglasses was by making a large wholesale order through Randolph. This means that 1) we didn't order any additional inventory, as that would make them more expensive and 2) Randolph isn't equipped to handle our customer service requests.
So in short, we are not offering returns or exchanges for items that aren't damaged or defective. This is our policy for all drops on Massdrop unless stated otherwise. Apologies for any confusion.

IanAndersonHi Ian,
Under FAQ, "Final Sale" isn't stated as U.N.O. - Quote from MD's FAQ:
"For future reference, please note that nearly all of our fashion products have "Final sale" stated on the description page."
RE sunglasses current description does not mention "Final Sale" therefore exchanges should be possible.
I'm sure participants who ordered a size too small don't mind switching up a color if it means they can at least WEAR the sunglasses they bought. RE offers even more choices then the MD options. (9 frames, 4 lens)
Also, nowhere do I see a policy on your website stating that MD doesn't offer returns or exchanges for all your drops.
I don't want to push this further. This has been an extremely sour purchase and it was handled poorly. If this is how MD handles these issues by being confusing/unclear and stating questionable facts about their policies and FAQ, then consider this my last purchase.
