There's a Raspberry Pi 7' touchscreen on Amazon for about $70. What's the point of this drop? I may save $10-$20, but will have to wait a month or so. Is Massdrop being forced to do cruddy drops because of polls, or what?

VitrasThe only thing I've bought from here is a key switch tester because I couldn't find it anywhere else. The rest of the deals are mediocre at best. Some of the knife deals are ok but when you wait a month or two to save 10 bucks, the value proposition sinks like a mob rat wearing cement shoes.

Curlyman72The two purchases I made was a 4k monitor for about $150 off and a chair, which I think was maybe $60 off after shipping. Both things that I can wait for. I think it'd be smart if they could somehow negotiate better shipment speed if they discount is not competitive enough (even if it was compared to Amazon alone). Doubt it since companies want to make the most profit possible.

VitrasSpeaking for myself, $10-$20 adds up over time. Considering what this drop inncludes it saves me over 20% for parts I am in no hurry for. That is worth it for me. If time were a significant factor then there are other alternatives.

Curlyman72tbh I've only joined one drop: Arduboy. a day or two later Kickstarter overstock went on sale for the same price and I already got those, limited edition, straight from Arduboy themselves. Only thing keeping me from totally regretting joining the drop is that a mass production model will be better suited to modding since I'm a newb; just in case I kill it, it's not really "special."
