Induction compatible AND microwave oven safe? That sounds cool. How would that work?

sknddThat is a good question. There is a decal on the bottom of the cocotte with enough metal to activate induction, but not too much so you can still place both the body and the lid of the cocotte in the microwave.

sknddMetal is actually fine in the microwave so long as it doesn't have small gaps that could arc. Your main concern with something like a metal bowl is really just that it'll reflect away all the microwaves and keep your food cold, but something like this would have metal on the bottom only (and likely flat, smooth metal with no ridges and so nowhere to arc) and so not really affect your food (other than potentially helping it heat up more).
