The size is similar to a Midori TN, but smaller. If you're looking at refills, a Banditapple Handy would be too large, measures 11cm x 21cm (approximately 4.33in x 8.25in), so you would need to bind your own refills and retie the bindings.
Alternately, you could use elastic straps that wraparound the entire folio for holding replacement notebooks (whether they're DIY or you buy). May not be worth the cost though considering it's less flexible than a Midori TN.
